Angular is unable to detect the dynamically loaded page when using Extjs

Within my Extjs SPA system, I have integrated Angular along with the necessary modules to be used on a page that is being referred in an external HTML panel in Extjs.

While Angular is defined and functioning properly everywhere else, it seems to not work on newly loaded pages. The issue lies in having to reload Angular each time a new page is loaded in order for Angular to recognize the page. Everything works fine when I do this reloading process.

Is there a way for me to automatically ensure that my dynamically loaded page is recognized by Angular without having to manually reload it each time?

Here's a snippet of my HTML:

<div ng-controller="MainCtrl">
     {{3+3}} and {{n}} <br>
</div>

Answer №1

angular.bootstrap() proved to be the solution for my issue at hand.

There are some important considerations to keep in mind:

  • Avoid using ng-app anywhere within your code
  • Make sure to include jquery explicitly
  • You can trigger the bootstrap functionality after a panel has rendered by implementing the following code:

    listeners : {
                        'afterrender' : {
                            fn : function (panel, par2, par3) {
                            angular.bootstrap($('#idOfYourAngularCode'), ['A']);
                            },
                            scope : this
                        }
                    }

  • If you need to use an external html file, you can define your "bootstrap" in the html file itself using a script tag. However, if your html is embedded within the panel like in my case, using this approach is recommended.
