Attempting to invoke a TypeScript firebase function

I'm currently working on incorporating Firebase functions in my index.ts file:

import * as functions from "firebase-functions";

export const helloWorld = functions.https.onRequest((request, response) => {
    functions.logger.info("Greetings logs!", { structuredData: true });
    response.send("Greetings from Firebase!");
});

However, I keep encountering an issue whenever I try to execute the firebase deploy command:

events.js:377
      throw er; // Unhandled 'error' event
      ^

Can anyone provide insights into what might be causing this error? P.S. I managed to successfully deploy it once before (the first time), but haven't had any luck since.

EDIT

Here's the full output:

npm ERR! code ELIFECYCLE
npm ERR! errno 1
npm ERR! functions@ lint: `eslint --ext .js,.ts .`

Answer №1

The resolution was rather straightforward - Make your way to the package.json document within the functions directory and modify it as follows:

"lint": "eslint --ext .js,.ts",
