Recently, I delved into the world of node.js using the express framework.

One question lingering in my mind is related to passing middleware. It diligently verifies the authentication status for each incoming request through passportjs. However, what if I have a dashboard page with multiple ajax requests fetching data for different widgets? In such a scenario, the deserialize function would be invoked 11 times – once for rendering the dashboard and subsequently for handling the 10 ajax requests. While browsing for answers, I stumbled upon this solution at How to properly use Passport.js?. Nonetheless, I wonder if this approach is sound enough to proceed with.
