Changes are not being detected in new Angular 2 files

Currently, I am enhancing an Angular 2 project by incorporating new modules. However, the changes I made in these files are not being recognized within the project.

I have attempted to research how change detection functions in Angular 2, but have not been able to find a clear solution. Could someone please guide me on where to locate the settings or files that need to be adjusted in order to enable change detection and compile my new modules successfully in Angular 2?

Answer №1

When using the angular cli, you have two options for running your application. The first is to use the command ng serve which will detect changes and host your application at localhost:4200. Alternatively, you can use the command ng build --watch to monitor changes. Keep in mind that with this option, you will need to refresh the browser manually each time the code recompiles.
