Determine the variance in dates within the Document Object Model

I'm attempting to find the time difference between two dates. If the difference is greater than or equal to 6 hours, an image should be displayed. However, the code is not functioning properly.

<img
     v-else-if="dateList[0] > day.date >= 6"
     class="imagePosition"
     :src="fillCheckImage"
     />

Answer №1

In the case that both dateList[0] and day.date are instances of JS Date objects, you have the option to utilize getTime to retrieve the time in milliseconds and then calculate the discrepancy.

<img v-if="(dateList[0].getTime() - day.date.getTime()) / (1000 * 60 * 60 ) >= 6" ... />

Alternatively, a more straightforward approach involves simply subtracting them outright.

<img v-if="(dateList[0] - day.date) / (1000 * 60 * 60 ) >= 6" ... />
