Develop an ngDialog template that can be easily reused across different projects

I am interested in developing a reusable template for my application.

As far as I know, it seems like you can't directly pass the title and body to ngDialog.

What I'm looking for is something similar to the following :

<div>
<h2>{{ TITLE }}</h2> <- This value should be dynamically passed
{{ BODY }} <- This value should also be dynamically passed

    <div class="ngdialog-buttons">
        <button type="button" class="ngdialog-button ngdialog-button-secondary" ng-click=closeThisDialog("Cancel")>Cancel</button>
        <button type="button" class="ngdialog-button ngdialog-button-primary" ng-click=confirm("OK")>OK</button>
    </div>
</div>

This is what my controller looks like :

$ngDialog.openConfirm({
            template: 'components/views/dialog/deletePopup.html',
            className: 'ngdialog-theme-plain popup',
            closeByEscape: true
        }).then( ...

Any insights on how I can achieve this? It would allow me to use the same HTML file throughout my application.

Edit : Interestingly, I have the same project in ionic/cordova as well, and I find Ionic much simpler. It makes me wonder why it's more challenging with Angular.

Answer №1

Implementing the functionality within the controller will grant you access to the data model, thus enabling you to modify both the title and body content accordingly.

Answer №2

            Open a dialog box using ngDialog:

            ngDialog.openConfirm({
              template: 'views/alertTemplate.html'
            });

Create the alertTemplate.html file in the views folder:

Here is an example of the content for the alertTemplate.html file:

<div class="alert-dialog-container">
  <div class="alert-dialog-body">
    Welcome to my dialog box!
  </div>
  <div class="alert-dialog-footer">
    <button ng-click="confirm()">OK</button>
  </div>
</div>
