Experimenting with NGXS selectors: A comprehensive guide

Hey there, I am currently utilizing the NGXS state management library in my application. I have a selector set up like this and everything seems to be functioning correctly. However, while testing the app, I encountered the following error message: "PrintItemsState is lazy loaded." Upon further investigation, I realized that I am passing PrintItemsState as an argument here:

@Selector([PrintItemsState])

I am unsure of how to resolve this issue and would greatly appreciate any suggestions or advice.

print-items.selectors.ts

@Injectable()
export class PrintItemsSelectors {
...

  @Selector([PrintItemsState])
  static filter(state: PrintItemsStateModel): KeyValue<string, string>[] {
    const filters = state.fabricPage.page.Filter;
    const filterKeys = Object.keys(state.fabricPage.page.Filter);
    const activeFilters = [];
    filterKeys.forEach((key) => {
      if (filters[key]) {
        activeFilters.push({key: [key], value: filters[key]});
      }
    });
    return activeFilters;
  }

...
}

print-items.module.ts

@NgModule({
  declarations: [
    PrintItemsListComponent,
    FabricTableComponent,
    SummaryTableComponent,
    RollCodeDialogComponent,
    CommentDialogComponent
  ],
  imports: [
    PrintItemsRoutingModule,
    SharedModule,
    NgxsModule.forFeature([PrintItemsState])
  ],
  providers: [
    PrintItemsHttpService
  ]
})
export class PrintItemsModule {
}

Answer №1

Unfortunately, I have not been able to solve my problem yet. Even after posting a question on their GitHub, I still haven't received an answer. While searching for a solution, I came across a similar issue, but I am using NGXS 3.7.2 so that shouldn't be the case. As a temporary solution, I had to move the selectors inside the state class.
