"Exploring the power of Angular 16 coupled with Firebase 9 for seamless file

Recently, I've been facing some challenges with my Angular 16 app that uses Firebase 9 and angular/fire 7. Specifically, I've been struggling to implement a simple file upload feature to Firebase storage. Despite spending the last couple of days troubleshooting various errors, I haven't been able to pinpoint the exact issue. I've extensively reviewed both the official documentation and the angular/fire Github repository but still can't seem to identify where I'm going wrong. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

In my Contact Us component within a lazily loaded module called ContactsModule, I have set up the file upload functionality. However, I'm uncertain whether being in a lazily loaded module has any implications on the imports?

The error message I keep encountering is as follows:

contact-us.component.ts:134 Error: Either AngularFireModule has not been provided in your AppModule (this can be done manually or implictly using provideFirebaseApp) or you're calling an AngularFire method outside of an NgModule (which is not supported).

Here are snippets from the relevant files:

app.module.ts

contacts.module.ts

contact-us.component.ts

My suggestion would be to stick with either firebase or AngularFire, rather than mixing the two. I lean towards using AngularFire as it seems simpler to work with.

Also, have you experimented with npm ci? It could potentially resolve any issues with cached versions of firebase imports.

Make sure to review the permissions in your firebase storage settings, especially creating a new "public" folder and ensuring the correct permissions are enabled.
