Until recently, I developed my website exclusively using pixels, which has made it less responsive than I'd like. Is there a method to efficiently convert pixel measurements to rem/em units, allowing for quicker and easier modifications?

If you want to change a value from pixels (px
) to rems (rem
), you need to establish a font-size
for the <html>
element.
html {
font-size: 16px
}
You can then apply the formula and manually calculate its rem equivalent.
Formula for EM to PX:
rem = px / base font
function convert() {
const baseFont = parseInt(document.querySelector("#baseFont").value);
const pxValue = parseInt(document.querySelector("#pxValue").value);
document.querySelector("#output").textContent = pxValue / baseFont;
}
document.querySelector("#convert").onclick = convert;
<label>base font<input id="baseFont" type="number" value="16"/></label>
<label>px value<input id="pxValue" type="number" value="24"/></label>
<button id="convert" type="button">convert</button>
<br>
output <span id="output">1.5</span>rem
