I encountered an import error while attempting to set up Kivy on my system

Encountering the issue of receiving the error message "Unable to import 'kivy' Pylint(E0401:import-error)" while attempting to import it into a file using the command "import kivy".

Following the installation of kivy through the execution of the command "pip install kivy", verification was made in my site-packages where it was present in the list. However, despite this, I am unable to successfully import it into a file. Unsure of the next steps to take at this point.

Answer №1

Give this a shot, python -m pip uninstall kivy

Then give this a go, python -m pip install kivy

If that doesn't work, consider updating pip to the newest version and then retry the steps above.

Please Note In my experience, when working with kivy apps, I usually import them like this, For example: from kivy import app
