Secure verification is a critical element within the core component of React JS

Creating a user-based application using Meteor (v1.3) requires strong authentication and authorization mechanisms. I found an insightful example by the author of Flow Router that delves into setting up authentication and authorization using Flow Router.

https://github.com/alanning/meteor-roles/tree/master/examples/flow-router-advanced However, this example uses Blaze for demonstration purposes. I am curious if the same functionality can be achieved with React.

The challenge lies in converting the template-level site-wide authentication from Blaze to React. How can this be accomplished within a Main layout component like the one below?

export const MainLayout = ({content}) => (

    <div className="container">

                {content}

    </div>
);

How can authentication be implemented within this layout? While I understand it can be done at the router level, Flow Router emphasizes non-reactivity and predictability, suggesting handling it at the template layer as shown in the example.

I am new to React and may not fully grasp its concepts. If there is a more suitable approach, I welcome guidance towards the right direction.

If you want to connect Meteor's reactive variables to React components in Meteor 1.3+, the createContainer function is the way to go:

export const MainLayout = createContainer(() => {
  return {
    isAdmin: Roles.userIsInRole(Meteor.userId(), ['admin']),
    userName: Meteor.user() ? Meteor.user().username : null
  }
}, (props) => {
  if (!props.isAdmin) {
    return <p>No cake for you.</p>
  }
  return <div className="container">
    <p>Hello {props.userName}</p>
    {props.content}
  </div>;
});

The createContainer function adds the return value of your callback function to the props object. If a reactive value is accessed within that function (like Meteor.user() above), it will be re-evaluated whenever that value changes. Try typing Meteor.logout() in the browser console, and see how the component reacts instantly.
