"Skip the inbox clutter and access the compose page directly on Gmail, Yahoo, and

I was looking to create a unique hyperlink that would direct users to a compose page similar to Google Mail. Here is an example of what I tried:

<li><a href="https://inbox.google.com/mail/?view=cm&fs=1&<a href="/cdn-cgi/l/email-protection" class="__cf_email__" data-cfemail="b4c0db89dedbdcdaf4d0dbd19ad7dbd9">[email protected]</a>" title="Google Inbox Mail" data-uk-tooltip><img src="mail-google-inbox.svg'; ?>" alt="Google Inbox Mail"></a></li>

However, I've been unsuccessful in finding similar links for Yahoo Mail and Outlook...

Any ideas from you guys? Your help is much appreciated.

Reason:

Instead of just using "mailto:", we want our users to be able to choose which mail program or app to use when composing a personal message.

We have considered other options like modal boxes with forms or leaving "mailto:" as the default hyperlink, but we feel this alternative option could work well too.

Answer №1

Alright, here's what I discovered for everyone's benefit. Instead of using mailto:, you can utilize these hyperlinks:

For Google Mail

https://mail.google.com/mail/?view=cm&fs=1&<a href="/cdn-cgi/l/email-protection" class="__cf_email__" data-cfemail="186c772561776d6a587d75797174367b7">[email protected]</a>

For Yahoo Mail

https://compose.mail.yahoo.com/<a href="/cdn-cgi/l/email-protection" class="__cf_email__" data-cfemail="dbe4afb4e6a2b4aea99bbeb6bab2b7f5b8b4b6">[email protected]</a>

For Outlook Mail / Hotmail

https://outlook.live.com/owa/<a href="/cdn-cgi/l/email-protection" class="__cf_email__" data-cfemail="f1ce859ecc889e8483b1949c90989ddf929e9c">[email protected]</a>&path=/mail/action/compose
