Steps to resolve background image problems

Currently encountering issues with the application where the background image is not showing up behind the login form. This problem arises while using a bootstrap template for the website. Attempted to set the background image in the .main-content div without success.

<div>
    <style>
        .main-content {
            background-image: url('../../../../wwwroot/images/MacbookBackground.jpg');
        }
    </style>
</div>

Answer №1

To include your custom <style> in the _Layout.cshtml file, be sure to use the correct path for any images you want to reference. For example, if the image is located at /images/MacbookBackground.jpg, your code snippet should look like this:

In the _Layout.cshtml header section:

<head>
//...
<style>
    .main-content {
        background-image: url('/images/MacbookBackground.jpg');
    }
</style>
</head>

Next, in your specific view file:

<div class="main-content">
   <h1 class="display-4">Welcome</h1>
</div>

Upon implementation, you should see the desired result: Example Image Link
