The custom css class is failing to be applied to a tooltip within Angular Material version 15

After updating Angular Material to version 15, I noticed that I can no longer apply custom coloring to the material tooltip.

Here is an example code in .html:

    <button mat-raised-button matTooltip="Tooltip message" matTooltipClass="custom-tooltip">
      <mat-icon>info</mat-icon>
    </button>

When trying to use MatTooltipModule imported in app.module.ts, the above code does not work:

import { MatTooltipModule } from '@angular/material/tooltip';

However, it works correctly when using legacy importing (which I am looking to replace):

import { MatLegacyTooltipModule as MatTooltipModule } from '@angular/material/legacy-tooltip';

Any assistance on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Answer №1

Take a look at this one.

   ::ng-deep.mat-mdc-tooltip {
--mdc-plain-tooltip-container-color: #ff4141;
--mdc-plain-tooltip-supporting-text-color: #000;

}
