The customization of jQuery UI Slider is failing to function as expected

In my quest to create a customized jQuery slider, I encountered the need to change the background of the slider handle. After experimenting with some code on this link, I am still unable to achieve the desired effect.

Following the documentation, I have added an element with class ui-slider-handle within the slider to apply the necessary styles. Despite my efforts, the background of the handle remains unchanged. Can someone provide insight into what might be going wrong in my approach?

Answer №1

It seems like you forgot to close the parenthesis after setting the background color of div#slider-range-min to yellow with !important.

Answer №2

You forgot to close the parenthesis in the div#slider-range-min section, so make sure to use

div.ui-slider-range-min

{ background: green !important; }

div#slider-range-min

{ background: yellow !important; }

div#slider-range-min div.ui-slider-handle { background: red; }
