`The dilemma of z-index in a dropdown menu nested within an animated card`

Having an issue that I have attempted to simplify in this StackBlitz example (the actual project is created with Angular components and Bootstrap, etc.): https://stackblitz.com/edit/angular-bootstrap-4-starter-njixcw

When incorporating a dropdown within a faded animated card, the dropdown menu appears behind instead of in front (click the red dropdown to replicate).

The dropdown without animation functions correctly (click the green dropdown to replicate).

It seems like there may be an issue with the opacity property. Can anyone provide assistance in achieving the same result (while retaining the animation) without encountering the dropdown menu hiding behind?

Thank you very much.

Answer №1

Adding z-index:1 to .card-body helped me successfully resolve the issue.
