The speed at which Laravel loads local CSS and JS resources is notably sluggish

Experiencing slow loading times for local resources in my Laravel project has been a major issue. The files are unusually small and the cdn is much faster in comparison. Is there a way to resolve this problem?

Answer №1

When utilizing Laravel serve on port 8000, ensure that Zend Debug or X-debug is deactivated as it can significantly slow down the loading of resources.

Answer №2

While developing in VS Code, try running the command php artisan serve in the terminal for a quicker experience.

To speed things up, simply close the terminal using CTRL + ~. This method has proven to be much faster for me.
