Tips for retrieving Latency and Rendering time with Webdriver sampler in Jmeter

Can anyone assist me with extracting the latency and rendering time values of a web application using Webdriver sampler in jmeter?

If possible, please provide some sample webdriver sampler codes to retrieve these values.

Anticipated outcomes:

1) Obtain latency 2) Acquire rendering time

Answer №1

If you need to measure latency, you can utilize the Performance Timing API by accessing it through this link: Performance Timing API. Here is an example:

def now = System.currentTimeMillis()
def ttfb = WDS.browser.executeScript('return window.performance.timing.responseStart') as long
WDS.sampleResult.setLatency(now - ttfb)

Regarding "rendering time," if you are referring to the execution time of the WebDriver Sampler, it is already recorded as Elapsed Time. However, you have the option to customize this value using a combination of JSR223 PostProcessor and Groovy language. Please specify your requirements for us to assist further.
