Troubleshooting: Issues with Angular2 compatibility on Safari version 9.1.2

I am encountering an issue with running my angular2 app on Safari 9.1.2. It works fine on all higher versions of Safari as well as other browsers such as Chrome, Firefox, Opera, and Edge. However, when I try to run it on Safari 9.1.2, I receive the following error message: https://i.stack.imgur.com/9ewdE.png

Here is a snippet from my package.json file:

{
  "name": "xxxxxx-client",
  "version": "1.0.0",
  // Rest of the package.json content here...
}

After thorough testing on various browsers, we have concluded that the application works flawlessly on most modern browsers except for Safari 9.1.2. Can anyone provide any guidance or advice on how to resolve this issue?

EDIT

Upon debugging line by line, the console debugger reveals the following information: Upon opening _reportError, I encounter this issue: https://i.stack.imgur.com/twOTn.png

After opening _getDependenciesMetadata, I see the following: https://i.stack.imgur.com/9tI2w.png

When inspecting _getTypeMetadata, this is what shows up: https://i.stack.imgur.com/PSwgL.png

Lastly, upon delving into _loadDirectiveMetadata, the following is revealed: https://i.stack.imgur.com/RuMKS.png

Answer №1

After meticulously reworking my code, I discovered that the issue stemmed from a circular dependency. To rectify this, I made sure to maintain cleanliness and simplicity in my codebase, implementing Dependency Injection only when necessary and adhering to best practices such as inheritance and global injection.
