Unable to attach to 'leafletOptions' as it is unrecognized as a property of 'div'

It seems like I keep encountering this problem, which is often resolved by adjusting import statements. Right now, my imports look like this:

import { LeafletModule } from 'node_modules/@asymmetrik/ngx-leaflet';
import * as L from 'leaflet';
{ } from '@types/leaflet';

Specifically, I am working with options:

options = {
    layers: [
        this.googleHybrid
    ],
    zoom: 1.49,
    zoomSnap: 0,
    center: L.latLng([180, -180])
}

I suspect that the issue may be related to importing everything from leaflet as L. Any insights on this?

Edit: Just to clarify, this problem only occurs during testing.

If Angular.io fails to properly load the LeafletModule into your application, you may encounter this issue. To resolve it, follow these steps:

Start by incorporating LeafletModule into your application module:

import { BrowserModule } from '@angular/platform-browser';
import { NgModule } from '@angular/core';
import { LeafletModule } from '@asymmetrik/ngx-leaflet';
import { AppComponent } from './app.component';

@NgModule({
  declarations: [
    AppComponent
  ],
  imports: [
    BrowserModule,
    LeafletModule.forRoot()
  ],
  providers: [],
  bootstrap: [AppComponent]
})
export class AppModule { }

If you are using ngx-leaflet in a submodule of the application module, make sure to import it there as well:

import { NgModule } from '@angular/core';
import { LeafletModule } from '@asymmetrik/ngx-leaflet';

@NgModule({
  declarations: [
  ],
  imports: [
    LeafletModule
  ],
  providers: []
})
export class MyModule { }

A comprehensive tutorial is available on how to set up and use Angular CLI with ngx-leaflet, though it does not cover scenarios involving submodules.

Additional tips:

  • You typically don't need to provide the path to node_modules when importing LeafletModule. Most build pipelines handle package referencing automatically.
  • The same applies to importing @types/leaflet; build pipelines usually fetch type information as needed.
  • Using import * as L from 'leaflet'; is valid. You can also selectively import items like import Map from {leaflet};

Answer №2

Encountered a similar issue with the tests, however, after inserting this:

imports: [
  LeafletModule,
  LeafletMarkerClusterModule
]

The issue was resolved and no longer persisted.

Answer №3

If you're encountering this issue, it might be due to using your map within a custom module.

One possible solution is to attempt importing your custom module into the application module.

Answer №4

After some troubleshooting, I realized my mistake and corrected it. The issue was due to missing imports in the test configuration file of the parent component. Everything is working perfectly now!

Answer №5

For those who may be experiencing a similar issue, I encountered this problem when I forgot to include my new MapComponent in the declarations array within the app.module.ts file (even though ngx-leaflet was correctly imported).
