Unravel and extract information from a JavaScript object using PHP

I am working with a variable called "type" in my code.

var type = [];

Within this variable, I am using the method push to add an object {'type' : 1}.

type.push({'type' : 1});

After performing this operation, I end up with the following object:

[{"type":"1"},{"type":"2"},{"type":"3"},{"type":"4"}]

This object is generated by using JSON.stringify(). However, I need to extract the 'type' value inside PHP.

Answer №1

If you need to decode JSON data, consider utilizing the json_decode function

$object = json_decode($json);
