Using JavaScript variables within an @if statement in Laravel within the innerHTML segment

How can I incorporate a JavaScript variable 'x' into an @if statement in Laravel? I have tried placing it both inside and outside of the @if statement. When placed outside, it works perfectly fine, but I really need to perform an action based on this condition.

var x = document.getElementById("IdPrize").value;

var mySpan = document.createElement("span");
mySpan.innerHTML = "\
@foreach (\App\Prize::all() as $prize)\
    @if ($prize->id == "+x+")\
        <p>{{$prize->name}} is the chosen one!</p>\
    @endif\
@endforeach";

Is there a specific reason why I am unable to access the value of the variable 'x' within the @if and @foreach statements? What can be done to make it work?

If I structure it like the code below, everything functions perfectly.

var x = document.getElementById("IdPrize").value;

var mySpan = document.createElement("span");
mySpan.innerHTML = "\
@foreach (\App\Prize::all() as $prize)\
        <p>"+x+"</p>\
@endforeach";

Many thanks!

<script type="text/javascript">

var x = document.getElementById("IdPrize").value;

</script>

When dealing with PHP scripts, the return value is typically a string. Therefore, you will need to convert each element ID to a string and concatenate it with other strings.

@foreach (\App\Prize::all() as $prize)\
    @php $x = print( ' <script>document.writeln(x);</script> ' ); @endphp
    @if ($prize->id."" == $x)\
        <p>{{$prize->name}} is the chosen one!</p>\
    @endif\
@endforeach";
