Which is more effective: coding with just plain JavaScript and CSS, or utilizing frameworks?

As a student, is it more beneficial to focus on utilizing pure JavaScript & CSS or frameworks? And which approach is best suited for the professional field?

Answer №1

It all depends on your goals and objectives.

Often, what you aim to create has already been developed by someone else, making it unnecessary (and often unrealistic) to start from scratch. Clients typically desire quick results, so utilizing frameworks is beneficial for rapid prototyping.

However, in order to truly understand the process, it's essential to begin by building projects without any additional tools, relying solely on pure CSS and vanilla JS. This foundational knowledge will then pave the way for diving into more complex frameworks.
