css The issue of ul and ol elements not inheriting the padding property

Why is it necessary to utilize the ul, ol, and li selectors in order to remove the default 40px left padding and 16px top and bottom margin? Can't we simply use the body selector to achieve this?

By default, the browser applies a specific margin and padding to the ul and ol tags, which cannot be modified by setting them in the body element. To override this, you need to set the margin and padding directly on these tags:

}
