Guide on embedding PHP/MYSQL array into an independent JavaScript document

I'm looking for guidance on how to insert an array from a PHP MySQL page into a separate JavaScript file. Can someone please help me with indicating where to include the PHP URL and provide the correct format for the PHP array code in order to achieve the desired result shown below:

 template:function(e){
    var t={
        1:{
            title:"I",
            value:"insert"
        },
        2:{
            title:"U",
            class:"update"
        },
    };
    return't[e.Status]"
}

The PHP array should follow this format: var t={1:{title:"I", value:"insert"},2:{title:"U",class:"update"}

Answer №1

To integrate PHP's json_encode() function, follow the example below:

Demonstration

<script>
myVariable = <?php json_encode($data); ?>;
</script>

Answer №2

One way to transfer PHP arrays to JavaScript is by utilizing the json_encode function in PHP.

<?php
$myArray = array(
    0 => "Apple",
    1 => "Banana",
    2 => "Cherry",
    3 => "Date",
)
?>

<script type="text/javascript">

   var jData = <?php echo json_encode($myArray); ?>;

for(var x=0; x<jData.length; x++){
    console.log(jData[x]);
}
