When typing at least 3 characters, a dropdown menu will be populated with options based on the user

Is there a way to implement a select element (preferably using v-select) that initially has no options, but will fetch the options only after at least 3 characters are typed in? Unlike most standard select elements where options are filtered as you type, I specifically need the options to be fetched dynamically after typing.

I trust this clarifies my requirements. Thank you.

It seems like you mentioned trying out "v-select", which indicates that you're working with Vuetify. However, "v-select" may not be the exact component you're searching for within the Vuetify framework. Instead, consider utilizing "v-autocomplete" (https://vuetifyjs.com/en/components/autocompletes/#usage)

Additionally, don't forget to implement a debounce time before initiating the API call.
