Maintaining Scene Integrity in THREE.JS: Tips for Handling Window Resizing

My layout includes a div with a scene that looks great initially; however, as soon as I start moving or resizing the window, the scene overflows the boundaries of the div and goes haywire, almost filling the entire window.

Are there any techniques or solutions to ensure that the scene remains contained within the div even when the window is interacted with? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Answer №1

A popular approach is to create a window resize listener and connect your specialized logic to ensure everything stays aligned.

To set up a listener:

window.addEventListener( 'resize', onWindowResize, false );

You can include any code in your onWindowResize callback function, like this example:

function onWindowResize() {

    var width = window.innerWidth,
        height = window.innerHeight;

    camera.aspect = width / height;
    camera.updateProjectionMatrix();
    renderer.setSize( width, height );
}
